Description
Pond life can be seen and can be invisible.
Here, the water is gently rippling towards shore. The ripples reflect the sky, surrounding plants and echo the shallow bottom. Within the water are microscopic organisms which cannot be seen except through a magnifying lens.
Two damselflies flit and rest around the pond cattails. their neon blue heads and tails are highlighted by the earthy tones of the water.
The focus in this image is intentionally soft, capitalizing on the beauty of the shapes and colors, and expressing the calm spirit received from water's edge.
