What startled me was, as I was photographing these blossoms, I noticed something shiny in one of the buds! it must have been a type of Japanese Beetle, but because it was so beautiful, I didn't disturb it- Ill never know-

Lovely sentiment, Norma- they are not truly gardenia, but gardenia azalea- they have the beautiful flower which looks like gardenia, but re actually azalea- not much fragrance but gorgeous all spring-:)
