A tranquil pond lays behind a woodland of thick trees.
To stumble upon this sacred spot is a sweet gift.
The water is clear and fresh as a small stream spills over a rock wall.
Leaves float through the current and fish look for food among the reeds.
Not a sound disturbs nature's scene except the falling water and breeze in the bank.
This is a favorite place for me to visit when walking the grounds of Chanticleer Gardens.
I find mystery in Creation and Re-Creation: respite and solace in the woods, observing the different wildlife, underground brooks, the fluid intricate frozen water patterns and sounds; mystery in an ever growing appreciation for a Master's Loving Brush and Wand. - Art is an unconscious interconnecting with the soul of nature, which is only revealed through a deliberate intimate relationship. I always knew that art would be a major avenue of deep expression. My major at Converse College, South Carolina was Fine Art, which I broadened to include minors in Religion, Humanities and Philosophy. During my four years there, I studied at Moore College of Art in Philadelphia, and art history in London, Amsterdam and Paris. Education opened...
