In the spring, my yard is filled with lesser celedine, creeping speedwell, daffodils, crocuses, grape hyacinth, and some grass.
Most yards look like large pure green lawns. Not mine. I love the wild violets and fairy like swaths of these tiny perennial creeping weeds.
I photographed the creeping speedwell and have enjoyed creating differing versions of it by working with color combinations and highlights. It is a simple flower, four petals with delicate beauty- short lived.
There is plenty of time for green lawns.
