This autumn crocus is planted among hellebore and other shade loving plants.
As many spring and summer bloomers are fading, these little gems peek out of the shadows and bring joy and life to an otherwise dark green and brown canvas.
Watching them emerge is like fishing, they are very secretive until they burst forth.

I find mystery in Creation and Re-Creation: respite and solace in the woods, observing the different wildlife, underground brooks, the fluid intricate frozen water patterns and sounds; mystery in an ever growing appreciation for a Master's Loving Brush and Wand. - Art is an unconscious interconnecting with the soul of nature, which is only revealed through a deliberate intimate relationship. I always knew that art would be a major avenue of deep expression. My major at Converse College, South Carolina was Fine Art, which I broadened to include minors in Religion, Humanities and Philosophy.
