On the historic grounds of Shelburne Farms, in Shelburne, Vermont, a lonely wooden footbridge crosses a dried up stream.
The property was bought as a model agricultural estate, funded by inheritance from W H Vanderbilt.
The massive properties, 3,800 acres, were farm, fields and forest.
This bridge provides a walk way from the historic barn to the cattle fields.
It's graceful curves and simple design are unobtrusive and inviting.
