Artist's Description
From one of my photographs of an evergreen tree, I created a Christmas Card adding digital art and original text.
Advent, Latin for coming, is the coming of Jesus into the world. the season of Advent begins December first and lasts until Christmas Day, December 25.
It is a time to prepare by reflection, meditation and prayer, the real meaning of Christmas- Christ Mass or Christ's birth.
I find this period of deep contemplation, a necessary reset before Christmas.
Holidays are busy, creative, joyful, and can easily distract from the reason for all the joy and fuss!
This image is one of quiet, as the evening snow, the still, darkness of night, the star of hope, anticipation for a miracle.

I find mystery in Creation and Re-Creation: respite and solace in the woods, observing the different wildlife, underground brooks, the fluid intricate frozen water patterns and sounds; mystery in an ever growing appreciation for a Master's Loving Brush and Wand. - Art is an unconscious interconnecting with the soul of nature, which is only revealed through a deliberate intimate relationship. I always knew that art would be a major avenue of deep expression. My major at Converse College, South Carolina was Fine Art, which I broadened to include minors in Religion, Humanities and Philosophy.
