Artist's Description
Walking along a Florida beach just as the tide was receding, a bright orange leaf caught my eye.
The leaf was wedged in the sand with green seagrass curled behind it and small clam shells strewn in front, creating a natural still life of Ocean Art.
The light hit the leaf which sone like a rising or setting sun.

About Alida M Haslett
I find mystery in Creation and Re-Creation: respite and solace in the woods, observing the different wildlife, underground brooks, the fluid intricate frozen water patterns and sounds; mystery in an ever growing appreciation for a Master's Loving Brush and Wand. - Art is an unconscious interconnecting with the soul of nature, which is only revealed through a deliberate intimate relationship. I always knew that art would be a major avenue of deep expression. My major at Converse College, South Carolina was Fine Art, which I broadened to include minors in Religion, Humanities and Philosophy. During my four years there, I studied at Moore College of Art in Philadelphia, and art history in London, Amsterdam and Paris. Education opened...
