Artist's Description

I happened to wander onto an empty playground on a very damp grey day.
Alone, I sat for a while just looking at the structures built for toddlers and a bit older, to play on, in and over. I imagined the sounds of those busy child noises, a cry or two from injuries, spats, rubber clomping, shouting, laughing, in a blurry sort of way.
I wanted to translate those sounds and motions through my lens.
Pleased with this capture, I believe I caught the feel of swings, the view from little eyes of children as they run across a meshed platform, climbing, jumping, merry go round motion, orbiting in space or an echo of metal.

My major at Converse College, South Carolina was Fine Art, which I broadened to include minors in Religion, Humanities and Philosophy. During my four years there, I studied at Moore College of Art in Philadelphia, and art history in London, Amsterdam and Paris. Education opened...
