Description
In Linwood Pioneer Cemetery, also known as Potter's Cemetery in Glenwood Springs, Colorado, markers were placed at the graves of the unwanted, poor and unknown.
this marker was a favorite of mine.
Broken and surrounded by dirt and dry grasses, it is carved with an acorn out of which is growing an oak leaf branch and an ivy vine. The beautiful shape of this headstone is well thought out and carefully designed.
I choose to interpret that R E Deeds was a strong and gentle soul, who reached out to others with kindness and an upright character. This person was clearly loved.
I did not feel alone or sad here.
