A Christmas tree is full of light and color, set under the falling snow and a sky lit with heavenly stars, a symbol of eternal life.
One legend of the Christmas Tree dates to the 16th century and a German preacher, Martin Luther.
The story told is that one night before Christmas, Luther was walking through the forest and looked up to see the beautiful night stars shining through the branches of a tree.
He went home and told his family that the sight reminded him of Jesus, who left the stars of heaven to come to earth at Christmas.
