Description
Fallen from a large tree in Georgia, this singular pine cone rests in the grass. It is a female, recognized by its woody structure and large, showy shape. The scales flex back when the cone dries out, releasing the seeds after that have been pollinated by the male cone.
This beautiful cone, stands alone.

OH Alida you are the total best and your sense of humor in nature, is great but this is also sentimental and touching. Bet my squirrels carried that over to your house and set it there. They are feisty like that. :-) Love it, and poor pine cone, send it to me and I will give it a home. :-) CONGRATULATIONS your beautiful work of art/Image has been chosen to be featured on the HOME PAGE of the group "TATONG!" I am honored and thrilled to be able to feature your work and promote you for your outstanding achievement in the arts. Thank you for your participation, submissions and support of your fellow artists. L/F/P/T
