Description
Walking along a stream where I used to camp and fish with my family, many memories were stirred.
My last visit here, about 10 years ago, was with my brother. We left our spouses and children for a weekend together, and drove north to the mountains, and camped for the weekend- catching trout for breakfast and drinking bourbon under the stars.
This day, his wife and I dropped rose petals into our favorite areas of the stream. They floated, twirled, reflected soft hazy sunlight, while winding through the hemlock trees, and ambled down through rocks and shallow currents, out of sight.
Some were caught in rocky crags, others sat on some surfaced maple leaves.
They too, are part of a journey, in his memory.

Dear Alida, this is such a tender commemorative…I love the grace and elemental FEEL of this. You are blessed to have had a brother with whom to create and share such memories. I am resting with this image …daring not to add a ripple with my being. Beautiful!

Alida, such a beautiful thought…to share…two who loved…to perfume the waters of memory “flow” and honor the beauty of time passages. I imagine the petals that gathered in the crags marked heArtspace conversation. What a beautifully sensitive commemoration.
