During a celebration in New Orleans, the Chinese Light show presented acres of silk made animals, flowers, gardens and fantasy lights. Many were suspended overhead, tunnels of lantern lights, others were water gardens, giant dragons or rows of glowing lilies.
This scene was of exotic koi, swimming in a water world of lotus blossoms and reeds, leading to a sacred temple on a hill.
I choose to work the image into an even more whimsical fantasy, as though we were actually swimming with the fish. The experience, walking through these lanterns, was just that.

I find mystery in Creation and Re-Creation: respite and solace in the woods, observing the different wildlife, underground brooks, the fluid intricate frozen water patterns and sounds; mystery in an ever growing appreciation for a Master's Loving Brush and Wand. - Art is an unconscious interconnecting with the soul of nature, which is only revealed through a deliberate intimate relationship. I always knew that art would be a major avenue of deep expression. My major at Converse College, South Carolina was Fine Art, which I broadened to include minors in Religion, Humanities and Philosophy.
