My father took me camping in the northern Pennsylvania mountains. He taught me how to shoot a rifle, to fish, to build a fire, to sleep under the stars, to recognize the call of the whippoorwill, the screech owl, to catch and clean trout and fry them up in freshly cooked bacon grease for breakfast- to wash in the brook, drink from springs, to care for our surroundings, and to trust him.
He walked me across this bridge many times, until I could cross it alone.

I find mystery in Creation and Re-Creation: respite and solace in the woods, observing the different wildlife, underground brooks, the fluid intricate frozen water patterns and sounds; mystery in an ever growing appreciation for a Master's Loving Brush and Wand. - Art is an unconscious interconnecting with the soul of nature, which is only revealed through a deliberate intimate relationship. I always knew that art would be a major avenue of deep expression. My major at Converse College, South Carolina was Fine Art, which I broadened to include minors in Religion, Humanities and Philosophy.
