Description
American Antiques are harder to find now that "brown furniture" is out of fashion.
these classical one of a kind carved pieces of furniture will never be replaced.
Here is a fine example of a simple yet elegantly carved heart and acorn on the apron of an early American, made in New England, cherry bureau.
The patina of the wood is soft and rich, only waxed and aged.
The carvings represent love and hospitality and strength of family.
This may have been made for a wedding present and is still as beautiful, maybe more beautiful, 200 years later!
We must protect this endangered species!
