Description
The Bishop's Garden is one of the special landscaped sections created around the famous Washington National Cathedral, Episcopal, in Washington DC.
The original plan was designed by Frederick Law Olmsted, Jr, in 1907-1927.
This small fish pond was covered with lily pads and other intriguing water plants.
Bright koi would appear and disappear through the floating carpet of leaves.
The koi were actually small gold fish. I used techniques to manipulate color and perspective
in order to capture the grace and mystery of the underwater world in The Bishop's Garden.
