Description
Throughout New Hampshire, known as the Granite State, old stone walls were built by farmers. The land is full of rocks and the muscle and sweat to clear it for farming took years and many men.
These walls still exist as reminders of the rugged independence, determination and hard work of those settlers. This massive wall is in a wooded area of North Sandwich, New Hampshire.
